History:
Jamnagar is a town on the west coast of India in Gujarat province in the Saurashtra region. Its headquarters are located in the famous city of Jamnagar. Jamnagar was founded in 1540 AD as the capital of the Province of Nawanagar. Jamnagar, historically known as Nawanagar (the new city), was one of the most important provinces for Jadeja's princes in the Saurashtra region. According to Pauranik's writings, King Krishna established his kingdom in the town of Dwarka in the province of Jamnagar, after emigrating from Mathurra and as a result, it was the Yadava race in which the Jams of Nawanagar tracked their ancestors.
