History:

The name "Valsad" is derived from vad-saal, a combination of the Gujarati language meaning "disturbed by banyan trees Valsad County, historically known as Bulsar district is one of the 33 districts in Gujarat province in West India. is the Navsari region to the north. On the 1st of June 1966, the Valsad region was established after the Surat region was split in two into the Valsad and Surat districts. On 2 October 1997, the Navsari district was established after the Valsad region is divided into Valsad region and Navsari. Karada of Karapada was separated from Dharampur on October 15, 1997.
