About Surendranagar


History:

Surendranagar was a traditional dynasty that ruled over other regions of Gujarat province. The present-day districts of Surendranagar were called Jhalawad. The current state, known as Surendranagar, was the head of a British political agent. Politicians from the Wadhwan camp returned to the governor of Wadhwan in 1946 AD Since 1948, Surendranagar remains a major regional center. Surendranagar is one of the suburbs of Saurashtra.

It is one of the largest producers of quality Shankar cotton in the world. Surendranagar Cotton Oil and Oilseeds is a futures exchange for world-famous cotton. It was founded in 1964 and is the first Cotton Future Trading Exchange in India.
