Gandhinagar State is part of the state of Gujarat, India, headquartered in Gandhinagar, the capital of the country. Edited in 1964. Gandhi, the leader of the Indian nationalist movement. A city built to replace Ahmadabad as its capital, the city began in 1966. The provincial government offices were transferred to Gandhinagar in 1970, and the city later became a center of trade and culture in Gujarat.
