History:

The history of Kachch, the westernmost region of the Indian subcontinent west of Gujarat, can be traced back to prehistoric times. The modern history of the Kachchh can be traced back to its conquest by the Sindh tribes of the Sama Rajputs. This happened or was at least completed during the fourteenth century. At the beginning of the fifteenth century Muzfar Shah the founder of the Ahmadabad dynasty defeated the king of Kanthkot Despite this defeat, although he was under Ahmadabad, Kachchh remained independent until 1472.
