History:
Bhadrak District is a suburb of Odisha in eastern India. The city of Badrak is the capital and the largest city in the region. Bhadrak District is the administrative district of Odisha region in eastern India. The district is named after the city of Bhadrak, the regional capital. It came into existence on April 1, 1993. The region is rich in history and rich in mythology, having also received its name from the goddess Badrakali, whose temple is located on the banks of the Salandi River. On April 1, 1993, the district was incorporated into the Balasore District into a separate organization.
