About Dhenkanal District
History:
Dhenkanal State was one of the largest provinces in India during the British occupation of Raj Raj. The province is now known as the Dhenkanal region, Odisha, and the city of Dhenkanal as the regional capital. It is believed that the Dhenkanal District was named after a Savara king called "Dhenka", who ruled the country. The historical facts of the Dhenkanal in its earlier times are still in deep trouble due to the unavailability of any written documents.
