Jagatsinghpur district is one of the 30 states of Odisha on the east coast of India. It became a new province on April 1, 1993. The history of Jagatsinghpur includes the unification of the Hindu, Muslim, Maratha and British empires. The city of Jagatsinghpur is the regional capital.
