History:
The Nuapada District was part of the Kalahandi District until early March 1993, but for convenience, the Kalahandi District was divided into two parts namely Kalahandi and the Nuapada vide District Government Notice of 27 March 1993. The Nuapada District was recorded in the uninterrupted Kalahandi. region on March 27, 1993. Nuapada is a regional province of Odisha, India. The city of Nuapada is the capital of the region.
What is your reputation?
This is the base of the Upper Jonk Irrigation Project Dam 20km from Dist Hqr. The area is also famous for its Yogeswar temple. To the left of the dam, at the bottom of a mountain slope, is a statue similar to the Brundaban Garden. Sprinkling water in the middle of a blossom ring conveys a beautiful view.
