About Rayagada District
History:
Rayagada is a province south of Odisha, a state of India, which became a separate province in October 1992. Its population is made up mainly of tribes, especially the Konds and Sora. By the third century B.C., during the reign of Ashoka the Great, Rayagada District was covered under the Kalinga dynasty. The Bhojpur Rock inscription on the Brahmi by Rastrik King Mandhata adds some facts about the history of Rayagada District.

It is a place of natural beauty, with a siva temple where three rivers meet. It is located in the heart of a dense jungle, rich in wildlife. Sivaratri is a popular festival in this area. Although there is nothing good about the whole weather road but the place is worth a visit.
