History:
Baksa District is an administrative district in the Bodoland Territorial Region of Assam, one of the northeastern states of India. The management seat is in Mushal Pool. Manas National Park is part of this area. Baxa began operations on June 1, 2004, but was reported in October 2003 as one of the counties in the Bodoland Territorial region. Work began on NH31 from Balama's PWD Inspection Bungalow and moved to Mushalpool in late 2010. The Tamulpur district was created by separating the Tamulpur subdivision from the Baksa district.
