History:
Udalguri Province (Pron: ˌʊdʌlˈgʊəri), also known as Odalguri, is a district in the Bodoland Territorial region of the Assam region in northeastern India. The city of Udalguri is the regional capital. The name Udalguri means the area around the Udal tree . The district was established on June 14, 2004, as one of the four districts under the Bodoland Local Council. The district was recorded by the two-party Darrang district. The current district territory was previously part of the Udalguri subdivision of the district.
Famous:
In 1990, the Udalguri district became home to the Bornadi Wildlife Sanctuary, with an area of 26.22 km2 (10.1 sq mi). It shares the park with four other regions. Animals such as elephants, Hog Deer, tigers, Wild boars, civets, etc.
