Dhar District

History:

Dhar State is the land of the king. It was a country of greeting to the colonial empire of the Central India Agency. Dhar began as one of the provinces during the Maratha dynasty of India in about 1730. In 1941 it covered an area of ​​1,798 square kilometers (4,660 km2) with a population of 253,210. Dhar (anagar) has been the capital of the country since 1732 (from the base of 1728, Raja's first seat was formerly Malthan / Multhan (Maharashtra) .In 1948, it became part of Madhya Bharat .
