Dindori District
History:
Dindori prefecture, formerly known as Ramgarh Oblast, is the state of Madhya Pradesh in central India. The town of Dindori is the regional capital. The region is part of the Jabalpur Division. The history of the region is similar to that of the Mandla region, as the Dindori district was established in 1998 after Mandla's split. Dindori's real name was Ramgarh until 1951, then Mandla's tehsil. Later, Ramgarh's name was renamed Dindori.
