History:
Gwalior is a large city in the heart of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh; It is located in the northern part of the region and is one of the Counter-magnet cities. Gwalior has emerged as an important tourist destination in central India. The story of Gwalior is traced back to the myth of the 8th century AD when a great chief known as Suraj Sen contracted a deadly disease and was treated by the hermit-saint Gwalipa. He founded the city by his own name. The new town of Gwalior came into existence over the centuries.

The Jain Sculptures at Gwalior Fort were built under the rule of Tomar. Man Singh Tomar built his dream palace, Man Mandir Palace which is now a tourist attraction at Gwalior Fort. Babur described it as “a pearl of high value in the Indian subcontinent.
