History:
Shahjahanpur was founded by Diler Khan and Bahadur Khan, the sons of Dariya Khan, a soldier of the Jahangir army of the Mughal Empire. Dariya Khan was originally from what is now Kandahar, Afghanistan. Both Dillil Khan and Bahadur Khan were high-ranking officials of the Shah Jahan administration.
