About Kasganj (Kanshiram Nagar)


The Kasganj district (formerly Kansiram Nagar) was formed on April 17, 2008, by a spin-off of Kasganj, Patiyari, and Sahawartesil from the Eta district. For some time, the district was named after politician Kansi Ram. Originally, the district was named after a politician named Kansilam. Sant Tulsidas was born in this area, and Amir Khusro also belongs to Patialitehsil in this area.
