About Kasganj (Kanshiram Nagar)

History: 

The Kasganj district (formerly Kansiram Nagar) was formed on April 17, 2008, by a spin-off of Kasganj, Patiyari, and Sahawartesil from the Eta district. For some time, the district was named after politician Kansi Ram. Originally, the district was named after a politician named Kansilam. Sant Tulsidas was born in this area, and Amir Khusro also belongs to Patialitehsil in this area. The city has distinctive geographical features in the form of the Kali River. Popular areas of the district include Solon, Patiari, and Nadri.
