History:
The Sitapur district is famous in India for its mythical and historical background. There is no formal description of his name, but as the traditional saying goes, Sitapur is called Sir Ram's wife Sita. She is said to have stayed at this place during her pilgrimage with Lord Rama. Later, King Vikramaditya founded the city in commemoration of Theta and named the place Thetapur. In 1857 Arya Samaj and Seva Samiti established their organization in the district. In 1921, thousands of The Sitapur participated in Gandhi's non-cooperation movement.
