History:

Faizabad is a city in the Faizabad district of Uttar Pradesh, India, forming a municipality with the city of Ayodhya. Until November 6, 2018, when the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Yogi Adityanas, approved the name change of the Faizabad district to Ayodhya, it was the headquarters of the Faizabad district and the Faizabad district. Faizabad is located on the banks of the Sarayu River, about 130 km east of the capital city of Lucknow. It is the first capital of Nawab in Awad and has a tomb of Bahbegum, a monument built by Nawab like Grab Bali.
