About Ballia District

History:

Ballia is located in the northeastern part of Uttar Pradesh. It is surrounded by Mau to the west, Deoria to the north, Bihar to the northeast, and Gazipur to the southwest. The shape of the city is irregular, with one of its corners or boundaries at the confluence of the two major rivers. Ganges and Gagra. These rivers separate the city from other neighboring cities. The Ganges separates the barrier from Bihar, and the Ghaghara River separates the barrier from Deoria. Due to the high quality of the land, the city is called a Ballia. 

Famous For?

Ballia is famous for its Litti Chokha cuisine. It is offered at many food stalls and restaurants in the city. Puri in this area is popular because of its size. It is offered in marriage and other features.
